Hello, I am Mike! a multi-skilled filmmaker/ Director of Photography based in the Chicago, IL area. After 10 years of working in Broadcast Television, I’m making the major leap towards full-time filmmaking. Not only am I a DP, but a Gaffer, Audio Technician, Editor, and Tech Manager.
Shooting images has been my passion for years. When I turned ten years old my grandmother bought a VHS Camcorder which started the non-stop recording of weddings, birthday parties, church services, and vacations. My grandmother would scold me, “Michael, stop shaking… don’t turn to fast…focus on the person speaking,” My grandmother is not around today but, I still hear her. Which is why I aim to produce the best images for all projects I work on. Next natural thing for me too do was to join the middle school AV Club. Then Radio/ TV Production and Technical Theater in high school to round out my adolescence as a gifted nerd. Last, I went to study Video Production at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, which simply taught me it was ok to be a nerd as long as you contribute you gift or art to society.
Now my focus is on shooting high quality documentaries, music videos, corporate video, and story that YOU have always wanted to tell. Please get in touch to work together or talk filmmaking.
